Portray women correctly: Bhumi
Actor Bhumi Pednekar says she wants to do films that portray women correctly and she is thankful to the directors she has collaborated with because they shared the same vision for societal change.
She expresses, “I have always been super confident of my film choices. I wanted them to be different and unique, preferably with a message. Most importantly, I wanted to portray women correctly. As a woman, I feel that it is my duty to choose scripts that represent women with a lot of dignity.”

‘When I first got to know about the wedding look of my character, Meet Hooda, with short hair in the show Meet, I wasn’t very sure about how it would turn out to be, but the makers were convinced. After giving it a try, I was surprised by the way it turned out. We have most of the brides with long hair or fancy hairstyles, but once again Meet has managed to break a stereotype.’
