Vaccination camp to be held for people with special needs

In an initiative to vaccinate people with special needs, the district health department along with the Ambience Mall is going to organise a special, walk-in  vaccination camp at the mall in Gurugram on Wednesday.

According to health officials, the drive will begin from 11 am and 100 free slots for Covaxin will be available without any registration. The vaccine will be administered on a first come first serve basis.

Giving more information about the drive, Arvind Kapoor, General Manager of the Ambience Mall told The Pioneer, “This vaccination camp will be set up to provide free vaccines to the people without any hassle. Special needs people are welcome and they can avail this facility without registration.”

Besides this, another ‘Drive Through Vaccination’ programme for the first dose of Covaxin for the 45+ age group of people will be organised at the MGF Metropolitan Mall parking lot on Wednesday located in Gurugram. During the drive 200 free slots will be available on a first come first serve basis.

Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. MP Singh, who is also a immunization officer in Gurugram said that the Health Department has been doing this new experiment in Gurugram for the last few days, which was also appreciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently at a virtual meeting with District Magistrates.
