Two Naxalites held in Sukma

Two Naxalites were arrested on Monday in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, police said.Sukma Superintendent of Police Sunil Sharma said Madavi Pojja (45) and Batta Vinod (21) were caught by a joint team of the District Police Force and 201st Battalion of CoBRA, an elite unit of the CRPF, from the jungles of Peddabodkel village. Pojja was active as an Area Committee member and Vice President of the frontal wing of the Maoist Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdoor Sangthan (DAKMS). Batta was a militia member. Police recovered seven electric detonators, seven meters of cordex wire, 25 meters of electric wire, 12 pencil cells, Naxalite literature and items of daily use from them.
