The untimely death of sports teacher of the Nalibar High School Kalpana Behura, 40, due to Covid has sent shockwaves among the teachers, students and people in the locality in Jagatsinghpurdistrict.
Kalpana, who had been diagnosed as Covid-19 positive, died of heart attack on the way to hospital on Wednesday in Bhubaneswar, where she was staying in her brother’s house in home isolation.
People from the cross section of the society, her family and relatives in Tarsahi Panchayat in Jagatsinghpur district and her father-in-law's house in Pattshanipur in Pipil block in Puri district expressed deep anguish and mourned the death of the young teacher Kalpana, who is survived by a seven-year-old son and her husband Panchanan, w ho works in the Pipili block office.
