Prepare timely for Corona vaccination of children: CM

In a video conference, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told in the Collector-Commissioner conference that Corona cases are increasing in neighboring states in Mantralaya today. Cases are increasing almost everywhere. We should be fully prepared for its control. Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman, senior officers of various departments and Collector Commissioner were present in the meeting.

Chouhan said that 307 new cases have been reported in the state. Cases are coming up in all the four metros. Now gradually it is likely to spread everywhere. Our strategy is to admit the patient to the hospital if there is no space at home. All the ministers in charge should pay attention to this. Build a Covid Care Center. Prepare one Covid Care Center each in the districts. Home isolation patient should be given advice on what to do to be careful. Disseminate the message on a wider scale. There have been 9 cases of Omicron in the state, all of whom have recovered.

The Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the Indore Collector regarding the strategy to control Corona. Instructions were given regarding activation of Covid Care Center, Fever Clinic, testing etc. Indore is the most alert and challenging. Cases will increase rapidly, so proper arrangements should be ensured.

Chouhan said that all other collectors should also make arrangements after making full preparations. Let there be no shortcoming from your side. Arrange meetings of Covid Crisis Management Committees. So far 94.8 percent eligible persons have got first dose and 91 percent have been administered with second dose in the state. Vaccinations should continue.

Chouhan said that preparations should be made for the vaccination of children in the 15 to 18 year age group. Ensure vaccination in all cities simultaneously. Vaccination is to be done rapidly from January 3 on a war footing. Ensure vaccination of 15 to 18 year old children in the form of a Maha Abhiyan. Get involved in this work with priority. There should be an appeal for vaccination during the launch. It is up to the choice of 60-year-olds to get a booster dose.

Chouhan said that fever clinics should be started. At present there are active cases in 20 districts. Crisis Management Committee meetings should be arranged in places where there have not been held so far.

Information should be taken from the ministers in charge. People should be encouraged to wear face masks. Roko-Toko campaigns should continue. Crowded places should be avoided. The poor should continue with their livelihood, their economic condition should not be affected. The arrangements of the Covid Care Center should be good. Oxygen, PSA plant should be functional, also check the arrangement of LMO tank. Medicines were arranged for a month. The duration of Chief Minister empaneled hospitals has been extended till 31 March 2022. Ensure mapping of beds. Arrange beds in private and government hospitals. Check out all the essentials. Contact tracing has to be done.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that discussion should be held with schools to vaccinate children. The target is to vaccinate 48 lakh children of the state. MPs, MLAs, public representatives all have to be involved in this work.
