The Jaga Mission is acclaimed as the world’s largest slum land settlement programme benefiting a million urban poor living in the slums.
The mission is being executed in collaboration with the Tata Trusts and the Norman Foster Foundation. The State Government had rolled out the project on May 7, 2018, a first of its kind in the country, to give land titles to slum dwellers.
Odisha also won the Best State Award in the second edition of Janaagraha City Governance Awards for the Jaga Mission and for transforming urban slums into livable habitats.
