A domestic feud led a woman to kill her three-year-old daughter before ending her life while her husband hanged himself to death on Tuesday night.The incident has been reported from Koira of Sundargarh district. The couple of Jagatsignhpur district with their daughter was staying in a rented house at Masjid Gali in Koira for the last three years.
On the fateful night, a heated argument took place between Prahllad and his wife Ranjita over some matter. Following this, the landlord lodged a police complaint against Prahllad. Later, Prahllad went out of the house on Wednesday morning and did not return after that.On Thursday when Ranjita did not open the door of the house till late morning, neighbours called up police.
Police and the local Tehsildar reached the spot and found both mother and daughter dead.
Circumstantial evidence suggested that Ranjita killed her child before hanging herself to death. On the other hand, Prahllad was found hanging in a forest near the Barbil police station in Keonjhar district. He had sent a selfie with a rope around his neck to his relatives before taking the extreme step.
A suicide note was also recovered from the spot. The letter holds the house owner responsible for the three deaths. Koira and Barbil police recovered all the bodies and began an investigation into incident.
