In what could be termed as a sigh of relief for those commuting through the accident-prone Khandagiri Square in the State capital, the Khandagiri flyover was opened for vehicular movement since Tuesday.
Notably, construction work of the over-bridge had commenced on March 1, 2019. Installation of streetlights on the flyover has been completed, said an official of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The flyover facilitates smooth movement of traffic to and from AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Kanungo Institute of Diabetes Specialties (KIDS) and newly-constructed WelcomHotel by ITC in area.
