Under Gamak series, Indra Pandey of Jabalpur and group presented folk singing and Anusha Jain of Indore presented Odissi dance.The programme was broadcast live on the department's YouTube channel here on Monday.
The presentation started with folk singing by Indra Pandey and colleagues. In which the artists performed Bambulia song - Narmada Maiya Aisi To Mili Re Aisi To Mili Re like Mil Gaye Mahtari and Baap Re..., Folk songs based on lord Krishna - Janam Lihin Ho Kanhai Hamar Ghar Baje Badhaai..., Dadaria - Raat Ruk Ja Chiriya Sabre jaana yaar raat ruk ja..., sang songs. At the same time, the artists performed songs like Gaadi Van More Saiyan Gaadi Jalli Hanko Re..., and Kaya Geet - Ja Din Hansa Nikal Jayega Ka Gaat Huiye Ae Tan Ki...,. Indra Pandey, Bhavani Das, Bharat Prasad, Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Pandey sang in the presentation.
On the other hand, Shiv Prasad on Dholak, Mohan Ahirwar on Nagdia, Dablu Prasad on Harmonium.The second performance was Odissi dance by Anusha Jain of Indore. She started with Pallavi dance.
The presentation was based on Raga Rab, Taal Ek Tali and Jaati Chatushra. The music composition of the presentation is done by Pandit Bhuvneshwar Mishra.
The meaning of Pallavi dance is to grow or flourish with a soft spirit. In this, both the singing style and the dance are gentle. In this, priority is also given to Taal and Chhand.
The second presentation was given by Mohana Pallavi dance. Which was based on Raga Mohana, Taal Tripta, Jati Mishra. After this the final performance was of Moksha dance. In this, the rhythm was a clap and the caste was chatusra.
