Author Nihit Mohan launches his debut book 'what school doesn’t teach you’. The book is published by Notion Press. The book was recently launched on ‘A Story Club’ platform. The author explains about the title and how did he come up with such an unusual name for the book.
“Indeed, title has a big role to play to set the context and content for a book. There was a lot of thought given to the name of the book while, I was writing it. In pure honesty, this title was not something I began with. Initially, I called it ‘Mentor’, but as I progressed writing it. It started to give the feel that ‘Mentor’ might not be very appropriate. And I felt, book like this needs a catchy title, so that the book doesn’t get unnoticed. So, after a lot of contemplation I zeroed in on ‘What School Doesn’t Teach You'," he added.
The author further says, “The book precisely covers various topics of contemplation which are left to life experience and are not actively pursued in school curricula. The book encompasses conversations, anecdotes and experiences from my mentors , who have helped me in multiple facets of my life for weathering the worldly vicissitudes.”
The author’s writing journey has been one amazing experience as he adds “As they say, to become an ''Author'' is an arduous journey. To be frank, it is a daunting journey but with a very beautiful horizon in the end. My inclination towards life has been learning oriented mixed with flavour of courage and self development. The cultural overlay due to my background has incited an avid reader and observer in my persona, which led me to expressing my thoughts via writing medium.”
