Heavy rain lashed the State capital late in the evening on Monday as monsoon remained active in western Madhya Pradesh in the past 24 hours.
Bhopal recorded 8.4 cm in the past 24 hours reducing the deficit of rainfall in the past three days. In the evening on Monday heavy rainfall was witnessed and which faded late in the night.
Weather pattern of rainfall and thundery activities have been forecasted for Bhopal division and which would impact state capital for the next 24 hours. Most of the parts of Hoshangabad, Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior and Chambal divisions are likely to receive rainfall and thundery activities.
Among regions which are likely to receive rainfall at several places are Jabalpur, Sagar and Shahdol divisions.
The harsh weather conditions would continue to be witnessed as warning of heavy rainfall( 64.5 mm– 115.5 mm) has been issued for Betul, Hoshangabad, Raisen, Khargone, Badwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas, Umaria, Dindori, Sagar, Chattarpur and Narsinghpur districts.
The Met department has issued warning of thundery activities and rainfall for Jabalpur, Sagar, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior and Chambal divisions and Satna district.
The systems which are inducing heavy rainfall across the state are low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal, East-West Shear Zone and a WD are still active and would fade in the next 3-4 days.
