Gunjan Tamta, a meritorious student of class IX of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Bageshwar, will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 20 at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. In this programme, PM Modi will hold discussions with the students on preparations for the examination. Along with other meritorious students from across the country, Gujan of Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand too has been selected for discussion with the PM. He has been selected on the basis of his performance in an essay competition that was based on the topic of women's safety. Eager to participate in the event Gunjan said that during the meeting with the PM, she will advocate for a new law on the protection of women. The eldest of the three siblings, Gunjan is very excited about the invitation sent by the PM Modi and said that she wants to serve the country by becoming an IAS.
Gunjan's mother Sushila Tamta said that she will give full support to her daughter in her studies and the family will help her in whatever area she wants to make a career., The Principal of KV Bageshwar, Krishan Gopal also expressed happiness over the selection of Gunjan. He said that Gunjan is a very keen, calm and meritorious student. “It is also a matter of pride for the school to have her selected from across the country to discuss the examinations with the Prime Minister,’’ he said.
