Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has caught 4558 cases of power theft during last month and imposed a fine of Rs 16.41 crore in the state.“FIR has also been registered against the guilty consumers for not paying the fine on time,” Managing Director DHBVN, PC Meena said.He said that in the intensive campaign being run against the power thefts, special attention is paid to such premises whose connections are disconnected as there is a possibility of them being involved in theft of power. Overloading and tripping occurs due to unauthorized use of electricity by them, he said.
