SpiceJet on Monday announced the launch of ‘Book Now, Pay Later’, a convenient EMI scheme. The scheme permits passengers to pay the price of their tickets in three, six or twelve monthly instalments.
Passengers, however, would have to provide either their PAN number, Aadhar or virtual ID (VID). This would be verified with the help of a one-time password. As per the scheme, passengers can pay their first equated monthly instalment (EMI) at the time of booking by providing their UPI ID, the subsequent EMIs would be deducted automatically from the source account. Passengers also do not have to provide any credit card or debit card details to avail the EMI scheme.
In a statement, the airline said that as part of the launch offer, customers will be able to enjoy a three-month EMI option at no additional cost (no interest).
