Depressed over unemployment, a 24-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at his house in Nehru Nagar under Kamla Nagar police station area on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased, Sunil Pal, committed suicide at his house. The deceased used to run a juice selling stall. During the lockdown he was not able to earn as the business was shut and which further made his situation worse.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation. The statements of family and friends are yet to be recorded which could help in the investigation, said police. The lone source of the deceased was the stall which was closed and which forced him to commit suicide.
Meanwhile, frustrated over wife’s leaving home a 30 -year-old committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Khajuri Sadak on Sunday.
According to the police, Jitendra Chouhan was found hanging in his room and was rushed to nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached and after the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. In the initial investigation it was found that the deceased used to work as driver.
He used to fight with his wife frequently over petty issues and few days ago she left house and went to her parents house. The deceased was not able to persuade her to return and committed suicide.
