Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Akash Tripathi has given the information that a new golden record for maximum power demand has been created on December 22. For the first time in the history of the State’s power sector, the maximum demand for electricity was recorded at 15,083 MW a day.
This maximum demand of power was successfully supplied due to better management and the strong network of power companies, and there was no power disruption anywhere in the state.
The Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar has congratulated the officials and employees for this achievement.Tripathi said that maximum demand of power was recorded in the state at 14,856 MW in this Rabi season on December 4. The maximum demand for power in the last Rabi season was 14,555 MW on February 3. In this Rabi season, maximum demand of power is being recorded above 14 thousand MW since 25 days. The main reasons for the increasing demand of electricity in the State are increase in agriculture area and increase in new means of irrigation, spread of settlements in rural areas along with urban areas and improvement in living standards. Better management and strong network of power companies is making the supply of every maximum demand of electricity successful.
