Professor Rajesh Tripathi, Principal, VNS College of Physical Education and Management Studies, Bhopal conferred with the 'Atal Gaurav Ratna Puraskar 2020' for his remarkable contribution in the field of education in the state capital on Sunday. This award was presented by the Atal Bharat Sports and Cultural Association, India under Life Time Achievement category.
Notably, this is the fourth award of Rajesh Tripathi. Besides, he has also bagged Bhimrao Ambedkar Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016; National Sports Time Award, 2011 and Special Award from Nagrik Sahakari Bank in research and education.
Tripathi is also the Chairman of All India Council of Physical Education (AICPE), Governing Council member of SPEFL-SC, New Delhi, Member of Dornacharya Award Committee, 2013 and Jury Member FICCI-India Sports Award Committee. He has been the international referee of Basketball and has also participated in various national and state level tournaments. Being an expert and scholar of Physical Education and Sports since 1977. Tripathi is working as a Chiropractor. Chiropractor is a health care professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine.
Tripathi has published 11 books on Physical Education and has presented around 48 research papers national international journals. He has done over 50 researches on sports disciplines and 20 students have completed their Ph.D under his guidance.
