People without face masks and not following social distancing norms to beat Covid-19 are to be denied petrol, diesel and ration in Raipur district.
With Raipur city turning a hotspot for coronavirus, District Collector and District Magistrate Dr S. Bharati Dasan had made social and physical distancing and wearing of masks mandatory in the entire Raipur district.
An order issued to food officers said that those buying petrol-diesel and ration have been found without masks. They also do not follow the mandatory protocol of social and physical distance.
He directed the Food Department officials that those without masks or not following social distancing should be denied petrol, diesel and ration.
The Collector made an appeal to the people procuring ration to wear masks so that Covid-19 does not spread further.
