Mohapatra joins as OSRTC FA
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Financial Service senior officer and Public Works Department Financial Advisor (FA) Manorjan Mohapatra was appointed as Financial Advisor of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) here on Tuesday . Mohapatra had served as PWD’s FA for the last 10 years. He was welcomed by the employees when he joined in the new post.
Lit meet held at Khariar College
Nuapada: A national webinar on literature and language during Covid times was held by the Department of English, Khariar Autonomous College on Tuesday in collaboration with IQAC. The session began with introduction of guests by Deepika Bangola and Mamina Sahu, +3 students of the College. Dr. Madhu Kamra, HoD, Department of English, Durga College, Raipur delivered the keynote address highlighting the changing situations in literature and language during Covi-19. Principal Nirupama Padhi put the basic points initiating the discussion. Dr Supriya Chatterjee, former Principal, shared his views beautifully on the topic. Department Head Prof Aswini Padhi and faculty member Prasanta Panda also spoke while summing up the presentations of chief speakers. Prof K Nivedita Achary extended a vote of thanks.
E-Sewa Kendra opens in Phulbani
Phulbani: An e - Sewa Kendra was inaugurated in the District Court premises here by the Orissa High Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq through video conference. The kendra,, are dedicated to and are supposed to serve the common litigant as a one stop centre for all his or her court related needs. District and Sessions Judge Sarada Prasad Nayak, Vigilance Judge Satyapira Mishra, Family Judge Niranjan Panda and many Magistrates and lawyers were present.
Five shops gutted in fire mishap in Baleswar
Baleswar: Five shops were gutted as a fire broke out at the Kamarda market under Bhograi block of Baleswar district early on Wednesday morning. Properties worth lakhs were reduced to ashes. The fire emerged from one of the shops and engulfed the nearby shops. Fire personnel from Jaleswar and Bhograi reached the spot and initiated efforts to douse the flames. Eyewitnesses said three LPG cylinders exploded one after another leading to the fire mishap.
