Hanumanganj police book criminal and 4 aides for attacking man

Hanumanganj police have booked a habitual criminal and his four aides for attacking a 45-year-old man with sharp edged weapon and his mother with wooden baseball bat at Qazi Camp on Sunday.

According to the police, the victim, Bunty alias Shakir Khan was attacked by miscreant identified as Rafeeq alias Chirki, his son Faizan and his aides Nasir, Faheem and Anees. The injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital where their condition was reportedly stable.

In his complaint victim stated that he was outside his house late in the afternoon when the accused Rafeeq who has old enmity with him started to abuse and when he tried to stop he brought a sharp edged weapon from his house and attacked him and in a bid to save from the attack his finger was badly damaged and he fell. In the same time Rafeeq’s son Faizan came with a baseball bat and attacked him but his mother saved him by covering him and was hit by the accused.

The attack was soon joined by Nasir, Faheem and Anees. They all thrashed them and later escaped the spot. Bunty attacked with a wooden stick and hit Nasir in his head.

The victim lodged a complaint with Hanumanganj police and based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under sections 294, 326,506 and 34 of the IPC against Rafeeq and his aides while for attacking Bunty was booked.

 Police have started further investigation. Rafeeq holds crime record and has been booked for gambling, vandalizing  and assault.
