Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday performed the online foundation laying of Fortis OP Jindal Hospital Phase-II at Raigarh.
While lauding Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) Chairman Naveen Jindal who was present on the occasion, Baghel said: “Jindal Group has done commendable work in medical and education sectors besides industrialization.”
Naveen Jindal presented a check of Rs 2 crore for the Chief Minister Relief Fund.
The new facilities in Phase-II of Fortis OP Jindal Hospital are being developed at a cost of nearly Rs 25 crores, an official said.
“Fortis-OP Jindal Hospital is a well-equipped healthcare facility for people of Raigarh and surrounding areas. The hospital has experienced doctors and international-level medical facilities are available,” the Chief Minister said, speaking from his residence.
Naveen Jindal said that steps taken in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Baghel to prevent corona infection are being appreciated across the country.
The second phase of Fortis OP Jindal Hospital and Research Centre will have another building constructed over 50,000 sq ft at a cost of Rs 25 crores.
It will have 85 additional beds, isolation ward and ICU facility as per ICMR guidelines for Covid-19 patients. The Hospital will have specialist physicians of Neuro-ICU, dialysis, radiology, endoscopy, urology, nephrology and heart surgery, the official said.
