Increasing number of COVID-19 infected cases has gripped the Govternment-run coal mining company Central Coalfield Limited’s (CCL) headquarter. The company headquarter has been closed for three days except essential work due to sanitisation of the entire campus to provide security cover to its employees. The offices will reopen on Monday.
The CCL administration on behalf of CCL CMD Gopal Singh decided to close the office for complete sanitisation work of the headquarter when two officials of the Finance Department detected positive results on Wednesday. They were transferred from Kolkata office to Ranchi headquarter in the last week and on the date of their joining they submitted their sample for test. After two positive cases came forward then panic gripped other officers and staff.
The headquarter was closed since Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the sanitisation work. The officials and staff of the Environment Department of the company are attending work because the company will organise Van Mahotsav on July, 23.
Another senior official of the company on the condition of anonymity expressed his resentment against CCL management for transferring staff during this global pandemic period. He said that there is no need to do transfer work now because the positive cases of COVID-19 is increasing rapidly and the CCL management should not transfer the staff in this period, he added.
Meanwhile four more COVID-19 positive patients were discharged from CCL’ Gandhinagar Hospital on Sunday
The Doctors at the hospital handed over caps and gift hampers to the patients while discharging them. All the patients were very happy and they praised the CCL management and the doctors who took care of them, para medical personnel, sanitation workers and all others.
Under the guidance of CCL CMD Singh, the treatment is underway for Corona infected at the Central Hospital, Gandhinagar Ranchi and other central hospitals operated by CCL.
A total of 120 corona infected were admitted at different times in Central Hospital, Gandhinagar Ranchi, out of which 56 have been found to be healthy. Some patients were also referred to RIMS, Ranchi as required.
At present, a total of 58 corona infected are being treated at the Central Hospital, Gandhinagar, Ranchi. All patients are being treated by the team of CCL doctors and paramedical.
