The Jharsuguda district administration lodged an FIR against Dipali Das, daughter of Health Minister Naba Kishore Das, and senior BJD leaders Tapas Ray Choudhury, Sandip Awasthy and Raghumani Patel in the Jharsugda police station here on Sunday.
Jharsuguda Municipality EO-cum- Magistrate for Covid-19 Ram Chandra Pradhan is reported to have lodged the FIR on the advice of district Collector Saroj Kumar Samal. The administration has alleged that Das and others violated Covid norms at a meeting recently.
Sources said Dipali Das had on June 22 arranged a felicitation ceremony to honour Covid-19 warriors in the DRDA confrence hall here. Das and some other persons present did not maintain social distancing at the meeting. Again, the meeting was held in violation Covid guidelines which prohibit gatherings.

When contacted, Das said that some vested interests are trying to stop her ingression in public life. However, she said they would never sotp her from serving the people for Jharsuguda.
