The admit card for National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) will be issued to the students after April 15.
As the examination of NEET 2020 is postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the admit card will be issued after the lockdown is dismissed.
Accordingly, the admit card were to issued to the students on March 27, but the date is now extended.
Besides, NEET which was scheduled to be held on May 3 has been postponed due to coronavirus outbreak.
The exam has been postponed to the last week of May.In the official notice issued by National Testing Agency (NTA), it is stated that in view of the hardships faced by the parents and the students due to COVID-19 epidemic, the National Testing Agency has postponed the ensuing NEET (UG) May 2020 examination scheduled to be held on May 3.
“We are hopeful that we would get back to normal situation relatively soon; but for now, various concerned Ministries and Examination Boards are examining the scenario to evaluate the situation that may necessitate any change in the schedule.
As of now the examination is proposed to be held in the last week on May 2020. Exact date will be announced later on after assessing the situation,” the notice says.
The NTA also urges parents and students to stay updated by visiting the official website. A total of 15,93,452 lakh candidates have applied for the NEET entrance exam from across the country.
The NEET UG gives eligibility to apply for undergraduate medical, dental and Aayush programmes.
The admissions to all medical colleges, dental institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER will be eligible only through NEET exam.
