Eighty-two patients were discharged while 67 fresh coronavirus positive patients were detected across Chhattisgarh on Monday. Also, 101 blocks in 28 districts of the state were classified as Red zone.
In a related development, two more laboratories have been approved for Covid-19 sample testing, officials said.
Among the 67 positive cases, 25 were from Jashpur, 9 from Durg, 6 from Gariaband, 5 each from Raipur and Rajnandgaon, 3 each from Mahasamund and Raigarh, 2 each from Bemetara, Dantewada and Sukma and 1 each from Kabirdham, Korba, Narayanpur, Janjgir and Balod.
Currently there are 598 coronavirus active cases while 2,761 persons were detected Covid positive and 2,150 persons were discharged after recovery. The virus has killed 13 people in the state.
The laboratories of the Government Medical College Ambikapur and CIMS Bilaspur have been authorized for carrying out Covid tests through True-Not testing method, officials said.
