Air quality in Delhi was bracketed under 'poor category' with overall Air Quality Index (AQI ) being recorded at 367 micrograms per Cubic on Tuesday.
According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research ( SAFAR ), the surface - level winds are calm. “Boundary layer wind direction Northwesterly. A stubble fire count from SAFAR-multi-satellite products is around 211 and the PM2.5 percent share is negligible.”

“Surface winds are likely to be picking up slightly and AQI is forecasted to be in the Very Poor category for the next two days. AQI is likely to improve and stay in the middle-end of the Very Poor category on 11th December,” it said in its short range air quality forecast. Meanwhile the values of Suspended Particulate Matters ( SPMs) - Particulate Matters ( 10 and 2.5 ) recorded 343 and 207 µgm-3.
