State BJP official website hacked, goes offline

The official website of Delhi wing of the national party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been hacked. The website flashed several pages of beef recepies dishes, with a message: Hacked by ‘Shadow_V1P3R’.

On the homepage, the navigation bar has been edited to replaced word BJP with the word beef. Intance —  About BJP has been edited to About beef, BJP History has been changed beef history. Rest of the contents of the homepage remain untouched.

Importantly, the hacking attack took place while the Narendra Modi Government is taking oath to the office in Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

“We have taken cognizance of the matter. The site has been brought down for taking corrective measures. “We will get down to the bottom of it and ascertain how it happened and who all are responsible for the hacking,” Delhi BJP IT cell incharge Pratyush Kant said.
