Police have arrested a 23-year-old software professional for his involvement in a number of cyber fraud cases in the State.
The accused identified as Supravat Mohapatra, is a resident of Puri district. He was involved in at least six criminal cases in the State and two criminal cases in Malkangiri district.
Police said that accused Mohapatra is a highly qualified person. He has done Diploma in Hospitality Management from the Central Institute of Hospitality Management, Bhubaneswar and PG Diploma in IT and Management from Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC), Bhubaneswar.
He completed his PG Diploma in 2017 and worked for sometime in Infosys, Bhubaneswar as a trainee.
He also worked as Assistant IT Manager in Ultratech Cement.
He is an inter-State criminal and having links with cyber criminals of Jharkhand, police said.
