The Urban Development and Housing department of State and has decided during review meeting on Thursday that the width of roads near Ranchi airport will be widened and it is possible that it will change from two lanes to three lane road at entry point and exit point. Width of remaining roads will be used as footpath and other utility duct. Secretary UD and HD Ajoy Kumar Singh chaired the meeting.
Singh said that during construction of smart roads in the State capital minimum numbers of tress should be cut and if there is alternative for not cutting of trees then it should be use. It was also decided that where there is chance of tree plantation then it should be done to make the city green, he added. While giving instruction on construction of bus stands, Singh said that the bus stand should construct on various spots of the smart city and that bus stop should construct on the brink of the road on the distance of one to two kilo meters will be made on the centre of the road.
Other than this construction companies were instructed to bring 3D model of roads in next meeting because if there is need to amend the model then the department can work upon it.
