To let the students understand about analytical skills, Rabindranath Tagore University organised National level workshop on Big data Analytics with R.
It was a two-day workshop. Department of Computer Science and Engineering and CS/IT of Rabindranath Tagore University jointly organized two days national level workshop on “Big data Analytics with R” sponsored by Madhya Pradesh Council Of Science and Technology.
The inaugural session was chaired by Prof. V.K Verma, Convener Core Research Group of University, Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Dean Academic and Pratima Gautam, Convener and Dean(cs/it). S. Veenadhari, Co-Convener of workshop welcomed all the delegates and dignitaries on the dais. While interacting with the students during the workshop, Prof Verma told the importance of workshop and congratulated both the departments.
It was an informational workshop for the students as well as the faculty members of the ckllege. During these two days expert Hukum Chandra, National fellow and principal Scientist delivered a talk on utility of ‘R’ language in today’s research scenario. S B Lal , Senior Scientist from ICR educated the participants on Hadoop and Big data.
The participants were also briefed about how to propose a research project for fetching external funds and sources of funding agencies by expert Rajesh Saxena, Principal Scientist of MPCST.
It is to be noted that a total 50 participants from various universities, colleges were benefited from this workshop deliberations. The participants also asked their queries about analytics to the experts. During valedictory Rajendra Gupta, Co-Convener of the workshop expressed gratitude to MPCST for sponsoring the event.
