Main agenda of Govt is to provide 24 hours power, new roads: Hry CM

Thursday, 06 June 2019 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Wednesday said that the main agenda of his Government is to provide 24 hours electricity, new roads and clean water to the people.

“There are hundreds of villages in the state which are already getting 24 hours power supply and no village is left with less than 15 hours of power supply. The dream of providing 24 hours of electricity to all the villages will soon be fulfilled in the state,” the Chief Minister said while addressing “Karyakarta Abhinandan Samaroh” organized at Hisar.

The event was organized to express gratitude towards party workers for working diligently in the Lok Sabha polls, where the BJP had won all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana.

He said that earlier, the slogan of ‘Roti, Kapda Aur Makaan’ was used in the elections, but the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled almost all these needs in five years and by 2022, the promise to provide roof to every family will  be fulfilled.

He said that the forthcoming State Assembly elections will be won by his party with a thumping majority of two-third and BJP will form the government again in Haryana.

The Chief Minister said  corruption free governance for over four-and-a-half years was the biggest achievement of the present State Government.  Jobs given on the merit basis and  without any recommendations or bribe made the youth happy. Women have been empowered in every respect. The farmer of the state is happy because every grain of his crop is being procured thereby reducing the risk in farming, he said.

The entrepreneurs are also doing their business without the feeling of intimidation  of monthly, donation or ransom. The era of middlemen and brokers is over. The sportspersons feel safe and honoured. The government has also ensured due respect to soldiers and ex-servicemen, he added.

The Chief Minister further said that the government will not let any effort in creating disharmony in society succeed. Following the slogan of ‘Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek’, the government will implement the concept of equality in the entire state, he said.

Manohar Lal said that the caste-based propaganda has become entirely obsolete. The development and the pride of Haryana will be the main issue in the upcoming elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also described only two castes in the country - the one who is poor and the other who is working for the welfare of poor. Moving on the same principle, the State Government will make the Haryana proud  by working for the welfare of the  poor, he said.

The Chief Minister said that in the Lok Sabha elections, BJP has registered victory on all 10 seats in Haryana. Besides  leaders and ministers, workers also deserve congratulations for their  hard work and dedication  whose efforts led  to this huge victory, he said.

After 50 years, the people have made a new record by giving a majority to same party to  form the government for the second consecutive term. For the first time in the history of Haryana, BJP has won all 10 seats in the state, the Chief Minister added.

He said that all work in the villages where there is a shortage of clean drinking water will soon be completed. In the last four-and-a-half years, all the roads have been made whose demand was received.

He urged to send the list of roads to be constructed or repaired  so that they could be completed in due course.

He added said that the State Government has already started working on the next agenda of  providing safety,  better health and education services  to the people  in the next five years.

Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that in the Lok Sabha elections, 130 crore people of India voted in the name of development of the country and in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by rising above language, region and caste discrimination.

He said that the message would be spread across 2.6 crore people of the state that now there is no place for caste, dynasty and regionalism in politics. The people have strengthened democracy by denying royals and dynasties, he added.
