The biggest electric vehicle brand in India, Hero Electric organised an E-rally to promote electric mobility with the intention of safeguarding the environment in Bhopal. The rally was aimed at spreading awareness about electric mobility amongst the citizen and was a step to protect the environment.
The company hosted an e-rally from one of its prominent dealerships, Aagham Eco Automobiles, which was flagged off at 5.30 pm by the Secretary of Pollution Control Board- AN Mishra. This e-rally saw participation of over 30 women riders. The riders covered a distance of over 30 kms on their EVs with pit-stops at ten prominent locations that included a few landmarks and popular parks like Bharat Talkies & New Market etc.
AN Mishra said, “This is an incredible initiative to promote electric mobility with the intention of safeguarding the environment. People coming forward and actively taking part in such rally is a great way to take responsible ownership of our environment. Such events should be organized regularly and across the nation.”
As a part of this rally, the women riders planted saplings, motivated consmers to switch to electric mobility to reduce harmful emissions through various awareness activities i.e. distribution of pamphlets focusing on environment conservation and the need for electric mobility to check pollution levels in the county.
