Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency, Dr Harsh Vardhan, led a number of padyatras at different places under four Assembly segments to take his campaign to crescendo.
While day of polling (May 12) is approaching near, large number of people are joining padyatras to support the BJP candidate and to carry forward the message of the Modi-led Government's achievements to the maximum number of electors.
"The people are talking about the welfare measures taken by the Modi Government and beneficiaries have been expressing their gratitude for uplifting their lives. The Opposition has been feeling struck in an atmosphere of uncertainty,"said Dr Vardhan, "Demoralised candidates of APP and Congress are striving hard to save their security deposits in Delhi in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls."
Referring to environment related works, Dr Vardhan, who is also a Union Minister of Environment Forests and Climate Change (MOEF &CC) said that the Government has installed 54 WAYU air purifiers at different locations in Delhi where quality of air was not conducive to health.
"Another useful appliance named SAFAR has been installed at Chandni Chowk. With this, not only status of air quality becomes visible on the screen but also communicates a warning 72 hours in advance about feared worst quality of air," said the BJP leader.
