We have come from Sambalpur to catch a flight for Hyderabad, as we had a connecting flight for Goa from Hyderabad. After reaching the airport, we got information that our flight got cancelled. Due to this, now our entire programme got cancelled and we suffered monetary loss too. I have been hearing this since last few days. Passengers coming from Rourkela, Sambalpur, Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) are getting harassed. I demand that the authority should take some immediate steps to resolve the issue on a priority basis," said a resident of Sambalpur, Simanta Kumar Hota.
"I used to take flights from the VSS Airport regularly to attend my chamber as well as see my patients in Kolkata. It was very helpful for me, but due to frequent cancellation of flights, I am forced to book my tickets in train. I request the officials of the Airport Authority of India (AAI), to kindly look into the matter and resolve it as quick as possible for the benefit of people of western Odisha," said homoeopathic practitioner Dr Deoshlok Sharma.
