Ashish Joshi has been suspended from the post of controller of communication accounts, Uttarakhand. The official communication which mentions this to be a part of disciplinary proceedings however does not state the reason for the suspension.
According to the official communication from the Department of Telecommunications, dated February 26, disciplinary proceeding against Joshi is contemplated. The order states that now, therefore, the competent authority in exercise of powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of Rule 10 of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965, hereby places the said officer presently posted as Controller of Communication Accounts, Uttarakhand, under suspension with immediate effect.
No specific reason has been stated for the suspension. However, some days ago, Joshi had had sent a letter to nine telecom operators regarding the misuse of telecom network for sending obscene and vulgar messages.
