Cyber crime on decline in MP, says DGP

Director General of Police Vijay Kumar Singh said that good work has been done in Madhya Pradesh to prevent cyber crime. Cyber security is a big challenge for the police. Continuity of efforts to gain expertise for effective control and interpretation of cyber crimes.

DGP Singh was addressing the inaugural session of the five-day training program on the issue of cyber crime research for police officers. The inaugural programme was held here in PTRI on Tuesday. This training is given under CCPWC (control over cyber crimes committed with women and children) of the Government of India.

He said that it is a matter of happiness that the new officers joining the police are well aware of the cyber world and cyber crime. Not only do the new officials update themselves in cyber crime research, but also make their elderly friends more efficient in this work. These training programs would also be organized at the district level and at the level of the district, to create strong teams at the local level for effective control over cyber crime. The Director General of Police gave special emphasis on explaining cyber crimes with a business perspective. At the  same time , the work related to cyber crime research should be done with utmost carefulness.

Special Director General of Police Cyber Purushottam Sharma said that about one thousand police officers from the state will be given training in cyber crime research by the next December. In addition, officers of the judicial service and prosecuting officers have been included in the training.

He said that another computer lab has been developed for the training of cyber crime research. Therefore, instead of 30-30 batch, 60 batches of officers are being trained. He informed that the efforts of cyber police are that 40 to 50 police officers should be prepared for cyber crime research in every district. Sharma said that efforts to make cyber labs at the district level are also going on.

Superintendent Cyber Vikas Shahwal highlighted the proposed schemes of the cyber police. He said that Integrated Command Center will be set up in Madhya Pradesh. Sophisticated tools are being mobilized in the cyber headquarters as well. The police officers of the state will also be trained at international level in cyber crime research.

The programme was conducted by Superintendent of Police Cyber Indore Jitendra Singh. Officials of senior police officers and cyber police officials of the police headquarters were present in the inauguration programme.
