The Bahujan Samaj Party has expelled its senior leader and Lok Sabha candidate from Mohanlalganj, CL Verma, for anti-party activities.
This announcement was made by BSP’s Lucknow district chief Harikrishna Gautam on Friday.
Gautam said that Verma, who was personal secretary to then PWD Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui, was warned several times to mend his ways but he did nothing in this regard.
“Since the former Lok Sabha candidate refused to follow party discipline, he has been expelled from the party,” Gautam said.
Verma came second in the Lok Sabha poll from Mohanlalganj in Lucknow district. The seat was retained by BJP in 2019.
