Bokaro restaurants offer discount to voters

Before voting each voter gets marked with an indelible dot of a silver nitrate solution on his left forefinger to guard against voting fraud. During this Assembly election, this mark can earn discounts at restaurants and sweets shops after voting on polling days at Bokaro Steel City.

Taking a unique and a very good initiative over dozens of restaurant's owners at City center in Bokaro offering a special discount of 10 per cent on the choice of delicious dishes to the voters who show indelible ink mark on their finger after casting their vote. The discount will be valid only for the day of poll, said AP Singh the owner of Shan-e-Punjab at City Center Sector in Bokaro Steel City.

“Our motto behind this offer is only that people must cast their right to make India better and to make this mega festival a grand success,” said RD Gupta of Todi Restaurant. “We hope that our initiative will help people to make them aware of their voting rights," he added.

“We hope that this initiative will increase the voters’ participation during the Assembly poll,” said Sanjay Bokaro. In Bokaro Hill Top, Mansarover, Zinzer, Shan-E-Punjab, Kozy including others are offering a discount on December 16 with an ink-marked finger, said Amit.

The two assembly constituencies of Bokaro district include Bokaro (36) and Chandankiyari (37) will go for poll in the fourth phase on 16 December. There are 7,53,233 voters in two A ssembly constituencies of Bokaro district includes Bokaro (5,15,971) and Chandankiyari (2,37,262) and they will cast their rights on 885 polling booths, informed Kumar.

In Bokaro Assembly constituency there are 2,79,274 male voters, 2,35,131 female, 16 transgender and 1,550 service voters while in Chandankiyari 1,26,248 male, 1,10,743 female, 1 transgender and 270 service voters. The Bokaro district administration is all set to go for peaceful and fearless poll with record turnout of voters.
