BHEL, Bhopal, has successfully obtained renewal for ASME Certification Mark with ‘U’ Designator commonly referred to as ASME U Stamp Certification. With this, BHEL has once again demonstrated its capacity for manufacturing pressure vessels.
Speaking on the occasion, C Ananda, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal, emphasised on the importance of ASME certification in the current market scenario and motivated the quorum to ensure strict compliance to ASME Code requirements.
A team of auditors comprising Ketan Ramachandra Shah (ASME Designee), Raja Chadha (Authorised Inspector Supervisor) and Saurav Ghosh (Authorised Inspector) Visited BHE , Bhopal, on December 16 and 17, 2019 and conducted a detailed audit of the functions involved in the manufacture of pressurised vessels.
Addressing a group of general managers and senior officers of BHEL during the closing meet of the Audit, ASME Designee Shah appreciated the Quality Culture of BHEL Bhopal and expressed confidence in the systems and procedures of the organisation which deliver consistent quality to the customers.
AK Chaturvedi (Head Quality) expressed gratitude towards the audit team on behalf of BHEL, Bhopal, for devoting their time towards such an extensive audit which would serve as an impetus for new improvements in the organisation.
He further stressed upon the importance of periodic audits and reviews in ensuring consistent product quality and continuous system improvements. All the audit activities were coordinated by a cross functional team led by AGM-NDT VK Dongre.
