ABRSM hails Draft Nat’l Edu Policy

The National Education Policy was implemented in our country in 1986. However, in the last 33 years, there have been lots of changes across the globe. In view of this, the Government of India is going to implement a new Education Policy and when it is implemented, it will bring about revolutionary changes in the education sector of the country, said Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) president and former Vice Chancellor (VC) of Rajasthan University Prof Jagdish Prasad Singhal.

Speaking at meet on the Draft National Education Policy, 2019, held at the Regional Institute of Education (RIE) here, Prof Singhal said if the policy is centered on ‘Bharat’, then the gap between India and Bharat will be bridged. He opined for the implementation of the policy with necessary changes.

Dr Rajendra Prasad Agriculture University VC Prafulla Kumar Mishra presided over the meet while educationist Prof Khitibhushan Das gave the

introductory speech and RIE Principal Prof Prakash Chandra Agarwal gave the welcome address. Mahasangh National Executive Council member Dr Narayan Mohanty introduced the guests. Experts and educationists from different parts of Odisha gave their opinion on the Draft Policy. Prof Singhal met Governor Ganeshi Lal and discussed with him on the new education policy. Among others, Dr Narrayan Mohanty, Prof KB Das were present.
