A major fire broke out at Vishwakarma Nagar after two cooking gas cylinders exploded in which four shanties were gutted in fire in the morning on Wednesday.

Panic prevailed in the area after the fire broke damaging four shanties.
On receiving the information around 3 fire tender vehicles were rushed to the spot and it took around an hour to pacify the fire, told the fire brigade officials.
The fire brigade received information after which the fire tender vehicles were rushed to the spot and started the operation. No one was injured in the incident and only damage to the property was reported.
The victims has claimed that the loss is around Rs 2 lakh. In the fire vehicles parked near the shanties were also damaged.
After the fire broke out it spread in the adjacent shanties and three shanties were gutted in fire.
At the time of the incident habitants of the shanties were present and managed to save themselves due to which no one was killed or injured.
The timely action by the fire brigade averted major mishap as after reaching the spot fire was pacified with half an hour.
The locals told the police that leakage of the gas was reported in the night but no one took action and in the morning which lead to the incident. The shanties of Balram, Mahmohan and Banwari were gutted in fire.
