Two youngsters of the city took an initiative to deliver organic food to Bhopalites 'Anant Mandi'.
To let Bhopalites have organic food, an event Anant Mandi will be held on Sunday at Gandhi Bhavan. The theme is 'Come celebrate festival of continuous healthy life'. Under which the Anant Mandi will be organized in Gandhi Bhavan on the last Sunday of every month.
This Sunday, it will run from 3 pm to 8 pm. Where Bhopal and surrounding 12 organic farms and Entrepreneurs will provide Organic vegetables, food products, processed food to Bhopalites.
Piyuli Ghosh, one of the organisers said that People in the capital want to eat organic food but due to lack of availability in the market, they are forced to eat adulterated vegetables or other food items. There are some places where the organic food prices are so high that they are far from the reach of the common man.
Keeping this in mind, the group of youth of the city, Anant and Go Rurban, has initiated a unique initiative 'Anant Mandi'.
Organizer Piyuli Ghosh said that Anant Mandi will be completely shaped as a traditional haat. During this time, cultural events will also be held from 5 pm. Here will be the story-telling session of Mudit Shrivastav, Sandeep Mahto will tell about Vertical Gardening. At the same time, a group of youths will present Kabir singing.
Organizer Saumya Jain said that through this it will be encouraged to make the urban people aware of organic farming and organic food as well as to grow vegetables in their homes. Before this, with the help of Go-Rurban, we organised this kind of farm fest in the career college.
