It is not desirable that citizens are compelled to come to the Municipality. This was stated by the Director General of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis R Parshuram at the ‘Training Need Assessment’ workshop. He said the citizens should get such facilities that they can get their work done from home.
Parshuram said there should be mutual coordination between the officials. He said there should be a tendency of implementation and review of the schemes. After training, the officials will be able to focus on their work. Parshuram said the elected urban body representatives will also be trained.
Principal Secretary Urban Development and Housing Sanjay Dubey said arrangements will be made to impart continuous training to apprise the officers with the new dimensions of administration. He said that it is the responsibility of the urban bodies to issue birth certificates to death certificates to the citizens.
Dubey said citizens have lot of expectations. Fulfillment of these expectations with limited resources is a challenge. Methods to tackle these challenges easily will also be told during the training.
He said the training increases work efficiency. The Principal Secretary told to undergo training seriously. He said that citizens also be benefitted by the training along with the trainees.
The workshop was also addressed by Dean NITTTR Professor BL Gupta, Consultant HM Mishra and Principal Advisor Girish Sharma. Inter and Intra-group discussions were also held in the workshop.
