Showing commitment for development of the district, the newly appointed District Collector of Gariaband, Shyam Dhawade said his work would speak for itself.
“I will give my best as per my capability and will ascertain development of the region”, he said.
Dhawde assumed the office on Tuesday morning after taking charge from outgoing District Collector Shruti Singh.
Dhawde, an IAS officer of 2008 batch, was earlier posted in the capital as Director General Registration and Stamp with additional charges of Director Village Industries, Managing Director, and Chhattisgarh Handicraft Development Board.
Speaking, while assuming the office, Dhawade said he had arrived in the district with a plan to work on several earmarked sectors and his work would be seen here at the grass roots level.
I would do what would be the best for the district and would make efforts for the development of lesser developed area, he said.
Talking about his target, he said to extend various government schemes to the beneficiaries would be on his priorities.
At present ‘lok Suraj’ movement is undergoing in the state and he will redress the applications and complaints received in it with complete sensitivity. “Immediate redressal of the applications would be his effort”, he said.
To extend the beneficiary schemes of the government to deprived sections living at the farthest corner of the district would be on his priority and he will assure the happiness of citizens, he said his commitment.
Displaying sensitiveness to the kidney ailment affected people of the district at Supebeda, the Collector said he would be touring the area to know the actual situation. “During the visit I would talk to the affected persons and would try to find out solution in a planned way”, he said.
