Janapav to be developed as Jamdagni Teerth Sthal: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Bhagwan Parshuram had taken a Vishnu Avatar for the welfare of entire society. He gave shastra and shaastra vidhya to the students of all the categories equally. Chouhan was addressing the large gathering in a programme held at Janapav, the birth place of Bhagwan Parshram near Mhow, near Indore on Wednesday.

Chouhan stated that Janapav Pahadi will be developed in the form of ‘Jamdagni Teerth Sthal’. He further mentioned that Jamdagni Teerth Sthal will be included in the Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana. The hill will be developed as a tourist place and center of reverence. He announced that Gurukul and a large pond will be constructed at the foot of the hill after a scientific survey.

Chouhan mentioned that all the seven rivers originated from the hill will be revived. He made an announcement for approval of an amount of Rs 12 crore for this work. Chouhan further stated that a sum of Rs 20 crore has been spent till now to construct road, dharmshala and temple in Janapav.

Member of legislative Assembly Kailash Vijayvargiya said that funds will be made available without hindrance to develop Janapav pahadi as the center of devotion. Meaningful efforts have been made to develop this teerth sthal during the last 14 years.

He further mentioned that the old temple of Bhagwan Parsuhram will also be restored. He informed that a proposal to name the Indore-Bhind express train after the Bhagwan Parshuram will be sent to the railway ministry of the Government of India. This train will be extended to Mhow, he added.

local MP Savitri Thakur, President Jila Panchayat Kavita Patidar, MlA Ramesh Mendola, Temple Pujari Badrinath and devotees in large number were present on the occasion.
