Criminals having a free run: Akhilesh

Friday, 30 November 2018 | Lucknow | Pioneer News Service

Former Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday attacked Yogi Adityanath’s government on the law and order front and alleged that the state machinery had failed to put a check on rising crime. “The sensational incident in Shamli in which a mob pulled down a youth from Dial-100 vehicle and later brutally battered him to death clearly pointed that criminals had no fear for the law and order under the BJP rule,” Yadav asserted.

“The criminals were having a free run in the state and targeting innocent persons just because of the failure of the government to enforce law and order,” former UP Chief Minister added. Akhilesh Yadav cited the theft in the flat of party’s state president in Lucknow and claimed that no one was safe even in the state capital, nothing to speak of far off places.
