Five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the ‘Odisha Skills 2018’ in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the IDCO Exhibition Ground here on Sunday.
The first MoU was between the Union Government’s Centre for Development of Advance Computing (C-DAC) and the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) in the field of Super Computation, artificial intelligence and high-end research.
The second MoU was signed between the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Center for Innovation and the Entrepreneurship (CIE) and the BPUT in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) and robotics.
The Odisha Skill Development Authority and the Eye Mitra 2.5 New Vision Generation signed the third agreement for specific skill development for self-employment in vision care.
The fourth MoU was signed the C-DAC and the Centurion University of Technology and Management in the field of super computation and its use for skill development and research.
The fifth pact was signed between the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha and the Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC) for establishment of five mini tool rooms in five of the leading ITIs at Brahmapur, Baleswar, Cuttack, Talcher and Hirakud for imparting professional training to the ITI pass outs in handling sophisticated machines and technology.
