UP government will construct Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan for the pilgrims of the Himalayan Mountain in the national capital region close to Delhi.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath also announced a subsidy of Rs One lakh for the pilgrims who are natives of UP. The previous SP government had started this scheme and the subsidy was Rs 50,000 which has now been raised to Rs One lakh.
An official spokesman said the Kailash Mansarovar will be constructed in West UP close to Delhi and the department concerned has been directed to prepare the proposal.
Official said the Kailash Mansarivar will not only be a big facility for the pilgrims it will also promote the pilgrimage.
Earlier in the day reviewing the progress of the public works department Chief Minister directed the department that all roads in the state be made pothole free by June 15 next. He said the shady characters and mafia elements should not be given the contracts by the department. He also asked the department to implement the E – tendering of all the tenders of the department to eliminate the mafia and criminal elements from the contract business in the state.
Chief Minister said linking each and every village with the all whether road is one of the top priority of the state government and a comprehensive plan for state wide road network be prepared for improving the transport across the state.
Meanwhile Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Ayodhya on March 27. He will also visit the Ram Janmabhoomi temple at Ayodhya. This will be his first visit to the temple town after taking over as chief minister on March 19.
