Tata Power’s Maithon Power (MPl), the company’s 74:26 joint venture with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), facilitated distribution of t-shirts for 2,800 driver helpers of Hyvas.

The objective of this initiative was to appreciate the efforts and dedication of the hyva driver helpers for transportation of coal and ash for the plant. The smooth functioning of hyva driver helpers have ensured uninterrupted power production in the Maithon power plant.

Speaking on the initiative, K Chandrashekhar, CEO & ED - Maithon Power ltd, Tata Power, said, “MPl values the efforts of the driver helpers and the pain they take to bring coal for the plant. They are integral part of the MPl family and this is a token of appreciation from MPl for their contribution. It is imperative that they are also aware of the safety norms while driving and follow them regularly. We will continue to undertake initiatives that will encourage our stakeholders and perform better thereby increasing efficiency of the plant”.
