The Hazaribagh district unit of Sanskar Bharti organized Rangoli-Mehndi competition in the premises of Hindu +2 High School. Despite continuous rain 140 participated in the Rangoli competition and 78 in Mehndi competition. The participants presented their skill in this old art related with our culture.
In this competition the participants used various items like sand, flour, colored soil, wood dust etc. to prepare their rangoli. Various participants presented their mettle with a fusion of our old tradition and modern age art.
In the evening prize distribution ceremony was organized which was inaugurated by Dr. lalita Rana of Annada College, Hazaribagh. Addressing the gathering she said that art and culture helps in overall development of an individual and society. It not only entertains us but also delivers positive message to the society. Sobha Sahay, an old member of Sanskar Bharti, presided over the program and said that with the help of art and culture major changes can be bought in the society and Sanskar Bharti is working on it.
Finally the winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest and senior members of Sanskar Bharti as per the decision given by the board of judges which included Anjali Rana, Vimla Devi, Asha jain Vinayaka, Pravin Jaiswal, Rita Bagga, Poonam Tiwari, Pushpa Arya, Rajni Kumari, Ranjana Sharma and Sobha Sahay.
The competition was organized dividing the participants in three groups according to age. In junior section Keerti Kumari was declared first in both Mehndi and Rangoli competitions. Firstly in junior group Masumi Kumari and Shaili Runda were declared second and third in rangoli and Komal Rani and Priyanka Kumari were declared second and third in Mehndi competition.
In group B Kushboo Kumari, Vimmi Kumari and Swati Rani were declared winners of Rangoli competition while Varsha Singh, Shifat Sahin and Sruti Kumari were declared winners of Mehndi competition. In senior group Amrita Swati was declared first in rangoli followed by Sunita Kumari while Heena Kaushar bagged first prize in Mehndi competition followed by Manisha Kumari and Shahzadi Praveen. Rakesh Ranjan anchored the program and Rajni Kumari presented vote of thanks
